Elixir® Strings and Bailey Guitars

It shouldn’t surprise anyone to hear that Bailey Guitars has chosen Elixir® Strings as its string of choice. It’s a logical move by a luthier who has always insisted on the best.  

In 1998, British luthier Mark Bailey took the skills he’d learnt from a lifetime in the workshop and used them to launch Bailey Guitars from a double-decker bus. In 2003 Bailey finally moved to Ayrshire after 3 yrs of being the invited resident guitar maker & repairer at The KIGF -  jazz legend Martin Taylor’s own festival – where Mark first experienced Elixir® Strings

Martin told Mark about the stunning tone, comfort and longevity he was getting from his Elixir® Strings, the luthier had to try them for himself. He liked what he heard. Nearly 10 years since starting Bailey, Mark’s eye for design, flair for construction and endless quest for the best materials have made his company one of the most exciting luthiers on the scene. It’s fair to say that he knows what makes a great guitar.   

That’s why, from now on, all Bailey electric and acoustic guitars will be fitted with Elixir® Strings.
